Katrin and Dieter really want a new car, but don't have enough money. They therefore decide to host Aunt Mathilde's 60th birthday party and invite all their relatives, including those they haven't been in contact with for years. Because some of them are said to be swimming in money. So Katrin and Dieter hope for some support, but some of it turns out to be just a sham.

London crime reporter Barney Blair has an appointment in his office with Janosch Kovac, the hotel detective at the Hotel Atlanta in San Remo. The informant wants to sell Blair some explosive background material, but it doesn't get that far because the man is stabbed to death beforehand. Haymo, the huntsman of a Bavarian monastery, falls in love with Gittli and convinces the provost to make his steward consider a delay on her brother Wolrath's feudal due arrears. Because his child is gravely ill, Wolfrath illegally kills a capricorn. When Haymo catches him, he stabs him, only to find the child dead.
